Privacy Policy

Families give this school personal information about themselves and their children. This page sets out exactly what the website collects, who sees it, and how to ask us about it.

What the waitlist form collects

If you complete the waitlist form, you give us:

Your name, email address, cell phone number and home address
Your child’s name and date of birth
The program, full or half day, preferred start date and preferred location
Whether your child has any support plans in place
Whether you have applied to the HSN One List, and whether you require subsidy
How you heard about the school, who referred you, and anything else you choose to tell us

We ask for your child’s date of birth because placement depends on age, and about support plans and subsidy because they affect whether and how we can offer a place. You are not obliged to answer those questions to join the waitlist, but leaving them blank may mean we have to ask you later.

Where it goes

The form is sent to the school by email and read by the people who manage admissions. This website does not store it in a database, and it is not sold or shared with anyone else.

Two suppliers handle it on the way: Postmark delivers the email, and Cloudflare serves the site and runs the anti-spam check that stops the form being abused by bots. Both process the information on our behalf, and both operate outside Canada. Once the email is delivered, how long it is kept is a matter for the school’s own records, not for this website.

Website analytics

Separately from the form, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages families read. It records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, your browser and device, and how you arrived. It does not receive anything you typed into the waitlist form. We run no advertising on this site, and advertising signals are switched off in our configuration rather than merely unused.

We rely on your implied consent for analytics, which is only fair if you can withdraw it. You can, here, and the choice is remembered on this device for a year.

Asking us about your information

You can ask what we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@althorpmontessorischool.com and tell us what you need. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If the waitlist form starts asking for something new, or the site begins collecting anything else, this page will be updated before that happens and the date at the top will change.
